Mental Health Association of Nebraska Blues Benefit Set for Saturday

Posted on by

The Mental Health Association of Nebraska will hold its 6th Annual Jammin’ Away the Blues benefit concert on Saturday night.

The all-ages show is set for Duggan’s Pub, 440 S 11th St., in Lincoln. Advance tickets are $20 via etix.com, while tickets at the door are $25. Doors open at 6, and the show starts at 7 p.m. Kevin Selfe & The Tornadoes will perform, along with Mitch Kashmar, Deak Harp and The Honeyboy Turner Band.

The law firm of Rehm, Bennett & Moore is honored to sponsor this benefit for the third year in a row. Firm associate Brianne Rohner has volunteered as MHA-NE’s vice chairperson since August and served as the nonprofit’s secretary before that. She has been a member of the group’s board of directors since 2010.

According to its website, MHA-NE’s vision as a consumer-run organization includes “to make changes, to assure choices and to promote equal participation in society for consumers of mental health services and their families.” Efforts include Higher Opportunities Through The Power of Employment (HOPE Program), Keya House and the LPD Referral Program. Get updates for the organization on Facebook by following this link.

I hope you make time to support this meaningful organization and also have some fun by attending Saturday’s concert.
